Walking with Dinosaurs

Walking with DinosaursDuring last weekend I had a chance to watch “Walking with Dinosaurs - The Live Experience” at the Air Canada Centre. The 1.5 hours show (excluding intermission) is based on the “Walking with Dinosaur” documentary television series by BBC, and used $20 million dollars to create 15 life-size dinosaurs.

Sitting in the 3 level of ACC, the dinosaurs looked realistic, like the ones seen in the Jurassic Park movie. However, unlike the movie their moments were slow with virtually no action, but of course with each dinosaur costing about $1 million they probably didn’t want to risk any damage to them. =) Other disappointments were seeing the T-bar underneath each dinosaur which they tried desperately to camouflage by making it look like a log, and the sound system in ACC really needs an upgrade as I had trouble listening to the narrator.

Overall, for the price I paid, the show is worth watching. I’ve posted the pictures taken during the show.
