When making calls to traditional or mobile phone numbers using Skype a.k.a SkypeOut. The recipient of the call would get a Private or “0000123456″ number, which doesn’t really sit well with my friends because they don’t really know if it’s me calling. Recently, I found out that you can now set a caller ID number to show when calling my friends. Now they can’t make an excuse saying they didn’t know it was me. 
To setup a caller ID number go to the setup caller ID page and click on the button.
After authenticating you will be brought to a page to enter your number. Then a verification process will be done via SMS. When the verification has succeeded the caller ID will take effect in 24 hours.
